For countless thousands of years, stories have been passed down from one generation to the other through word of mouth, only in the last couple of centuries has the transformation been so great and so drastic that our great grandparent’s lives seems to be a distant world away, nevertheless the stories still remain the same, they are sill gripping and thrilling just as they used to be thousands of years ago.
Back then, children would sit around the fireplace with their grandparents listening to interesting old tales, the youngsters would never have enough of it, they kept asking for more and more stories of all sorts. Today, story telling is the equivalent of reading a digital content or listening to a podcast on radio or watching a reel on social video sharing sites, no matter how long they listen, people will never hear enough of stories, they will keep asking for more and more until when they leave the planet.
Some stories never get old, no matter how many times they are told, they sound new every time they are retold to their audience. They never loose even an ounce of their thrill. Many of the stories that have been passed down the generations for thousands of years are now being retold again with the help of modern day technology. People should therefore remember that technology is simply a tool for enhancing communication. You need to have an interesting story to begin with if you want to reach the masses.
Let’s keep retelling our old time best stories with the zeal and the enthusiasm our ancestors once had.
